Special panel on “Sustainable heritage management: New challenges, new competences”
on 9 November 2020 (16:00 – 17:30, Bangkok time).
Representatives from World Heritage Centre and Advisory bodies, including International Centre for the Study of Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) will discuss the latest thinking and trends regarding sustainable heritage management.
This event will kickstart the inaugural Sustainable Heritage Management Foundation Course.
Conducted by UNESCO Bangkok in cooperation with Think City Institute and the Asian Academy for Heritage Management, this course will upskill and reskill professionals working on heritage management, with a focus on South-East Asia, to meet new demands for sustainable development. The course is supported by the Netherlands Funds-in-Trust.

Panel speciale su “Gestione del patrimonio sostenibile: nuove sfide, nuove competenze” il 9 novembre 2020 (16:00 – 17:30, ora di Bangkok).
Rappresentanti del Centro del patrimonio mondiale e degli organismi consultivi, tra cui il Centro internazionale per lo studio della conservazione e il restauro dei beni culturali (ICCROM), il Consiglio internazionale sui monumenti e i siti (ICOMOS) e l’Unione internazionale per la conservazione della natura (IUCN) discuteranno le ultime riflessioni e le tendenze riguardanti la gestione del patrimonio sostenibile.
Questo evento darà il via al corso inaugurale della Fondazione per la gestione del patrimonio sostenibile. Condotto dall’UNESCO Bangkok in collaborazione con Think City Institute e l’Asian Academy for Heritage Management, questo corso migliorerà e riqualificherà i professionisti che lavorano sulla gestione del patrimonio, con particolare attenzione al sud-est asiatico, per soddisfare le nuove richieste di sviluppo sostenibile.
