The 26th session of the International Advisory Committee for Biosphere Reserves (IACBR) will be held from 17 to 20 February 2020 at UNESCO Headquarters.
The International Advisory Committee for Biosphere Reserves, composed of 12 members, is the primary scientific and technical Committee body advising the International Co-ordinating Council (ICC) of the MAB Programme and its World Network of Biosphere Reserves (WNBR) and the Director-General of UNESCO on matters pertaining to the WNBR: scientific and technical matters concerning the nomination of new sites and, changes and periodic reviews of sites already included in the WNBR, as well as the development, operation and monitoring of the WNBR which they constitute in accordance with the Seville Strategy and the Statutory Framework for the WNBR.
La 26a sessione del Comitato consultivo internazionale per le riserve della biosfera (IACBR) si terrà dal 17 al 20 febbraio 2020 presso la sede dell’UNESCO.
Il Comitato consultivo internazionale per le riserve della biosfera, composto da 12 membri, è il principale organo del comitato scientifico e tecnico che consiglia il Consiglio di coordinamento internazionale (ICC) del programma MAB e la sua rete mondiale di riserve della biosfera (WNBR) e il direttore generale dell’UNESCO su questioni attinenti al WNBR: questioni scientifiche e tecniche relative alla nomina di nuovi siti e, modifiche e revisioni periodiche di siti già inclusi nel WNBR, nonché lo sviluppo, il funzionamento e il monitoraggio del WNBR che costituiscono in conformità con la strategia di Siviglia e il quadro statutario per il WNBR.
